In the French Jura mountains, at the end of fictitious Middle Ages, Else is an herbalist and a midwife. With Nicole, her young apprentice, they are disturbed during their daily practice: a stranger riding a horse demands them to gather all the women of the village inside the church.

After a small accident between two friends, the new ball of one of them jumps over a large concrete house fence in the yard of an abandoned house. It is believed that this house is the residence of a monster named Mr. Cornel the child eater, an old puppeteer. Mihai, the protagonist of the film, goes to look for the ball on the property of this mysterious old man.

Elena has come back in the country to sell her apartment, but she cannot leave the country any longer because of the pandemic. The lockdown seems to never end and her loneliness deepens. Looking for a form of expression of faith, he accepts an invitation. She hopes that socializing will bring her some peace.

Dar fetița trăia în România și părinții își doreau mult, mult o casă pentru ele, așa că au plecat la muncă în Spania. Fetița rămas împreună cu sora ei în grija bunicii și așa au trecut anii, până când într-o zi sora cea mică i-a spus că părinții lor urmează să se întoarcă. Așa că fetița a început să spere.

Once upon a time there was a little girl who lived happily with her parents and her younger sister. But the little girl lived in Romania and her parents really wanted a house for them, so they went to work in Spain. The little girl stayed with her sister in the care of her grandmother and so the years passed, until one day the little sister told her that their parents were going to return. So the little girl began to hope.
